Christ has no body now on earth but yours; Yours are the only hands with which he can do his work, Yours are the only feet with which he can go about the world, Yours are the only eyes through which his compassion Can shine forth upon a troubled world. Christ has no body on earth now but yours. --Teresa of Avila
Michael, I was wondering the other day (out loud, with Darla)if simply doing artwork and design was of much worth in the world, when hands are needed to care, comfort and feed so many. But this song reminds me the worth is doing anything with my hands that's done in love.
"If therefore, there be...any good thing I can do to any fellow being, let me do it now, and not defer or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again.”
Jim, I love that quote by Saint Teresa too. Thank you both.
it reminds me constantly of the choice that's in our hands.... to either love and build up, or destroy and tear down.... it's always before us... always. i wish i could say i always choose to love... but that's not the case. i want that to change. i want to turn that around... i want it to be automatic... to where i forget it's even a choice....

this ancient saying came to mind...
Christ has no body now on earth but yours;
Yours are the only hands with which he can do his work,
Yours are the only feet with which he can go about the world,
Yours are the only eyes through which his compassion
Can shine forth upon a troubled world.
Christ has no body on earth now but yours.
--Teresa of Avila
