Jesus and Buddha

Buddha: If you do not tend to one another then who is there to tend to you? Whoever who would tend me, he should tend the sick.

Jesus: Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these, so you have done it unto me.

I mentioned the other day that a friend loaned me a book of similar teachings of Jesus and Buddha, and it has been fun and enlightening to read. I just googled Jesus and Buddha and found all sorts of interesting things... i.e., there is a belief that Jesus was a reincarnation of the Buddha. There does seem to be many siimilarities even in manner of birth, and names of disciples.

Hmmm. Ponder ponder.

I have heard that some believe Jesus trained with Buddhists between adolescence and adulthood. I have never thought about this. Interesting.

I read today that some Christian gnostics believe in re-incarnation. I heard somewhere, that the early Roman Catholic Church supported the doctrine of re-incarnation.

The incarnation of God's only son into human/divine named Jesus (God saves) Christ via the power of the Holy Spirit through the sinless perfection of Mary.

Christ's teaching that the Father is in Him as he is in the Father and we are in Him...He bestowed his Spirit upon us so we can be like Him...we can do the same work of miracles and healing and forgiving and loving that he did.

Couldnt that be called reincarnation? - reincarnation of Christ in us.

This is heady stuff to me!
