Afraid of the Dark

I am less afraid of the dark as I become accustomed to its light.

In art terms, most beginning painters/drawers are said to be "afraid of the dark", they dont use enough dark to portray their subject.

Realistically, you cannot portray light without dark.
They work together.
Dark describes the shape of an object,
Light..its most salient points.
Both capture attention.
There is an edge where dark meets light.

I like a little edge.
Opposites may attract or repel,
but mainly they define.
There can be great power in differences
that are united for the whole.

Peace
Keren
