World Day of Peace

January 1 is recognized as the World Day of Peace. I am wishing peace to all who come here, and the whole community of humans God has placed on this earth.

"...the peoples of the earth, too, are called to build relationships of solidarity and cooperation among themselves, as befits members of the one human family: “All peoples are one community and have one origin, because God caused the whole human race to dwell on the face of the earth; they also have one final end, God”. ~ Pope Benedict XVI

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace, Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy;

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
~ St. Francis of Assisi

ANne this is beautiful...

We had a community labyrinth walk for World Peace Day at my church today. I didnt join because I needed to get home, but I walked it with the intention of Peace last week.

Recognising Love/God as our mutual beginning and end and entity is surely a path to peace. No one excluded.

"Peoples of every race and tongue" as the psalmist says. From Muslims to Hindu to Nons to Chrisitians to combinations ..whatever - bottom line: to every life conceived on this earth - Peace!

I didn't even know it was World Peace Day :(

The prayer of St. Francis is one of the few things I have memorized, it says so much!
