A Lenten Journey through the Spiritual Alphabet
Psalm 119
*****
Teth (part 1)
You have treated your servant well,
according to your word, O LORD.
Teach me wisdom and knowledge,
for in your commands I trust.
Before I was afflicted I went astray,
but now I hold to your promise.
You are good and do what is good;
teach me your laws.
*****
There is no relationship when only one is responsive
How do you have a relationship with a wall?
I am not sure how to dance with a wall
Forget having an actual conversation with it
Kiss a wall and only taste its flatness
Love remains forever but relationships are fruitless
without mutual responding
You, O Lord,
I want to repond in unison with Your Perfect Will.
Teach me to leap over walls!
this would not even be possible before I was hurt,
but now I have Your promise,
please now give me a heart like David’s.
